Hi! I started taking pictures 9 years ago, not long after the birth of my son. My children are the inspiration behind my love for photography. When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me hiking, playing with my kids by a creek or drinking sweet tea. I’m lucky enough to live in the mountains of North Carolina with my husband and three kids. A few things about me: I’m an enneagram 4, I have a deep yearning to homestead, I homeschool my kids, motherhood is my life’s joy! I also love picnics, warm sunshine, running, true crime podcasts, reading, boiled peanuts, my garden, a lazy afternoon paired with reading to my kids, also being home without my kids and binging tv, chamomile and sustainable clothing.

My philosophy: I love a good picture, but they’re not always my favorite. I want to capture memories for you! A photo you can feel. Your smile lines, your kids laughing, an unposed hug and kiss, a hand gently moving hair out of their face. I love the small moments, and will be there to notice and document these for you. I want pictures that involve movement and emotion, nothing posed or forced, celebrating imperfections and authenticity. Your memories are my priority, the ones you never want to forget. Time passes so fast that it hurts. I would love to help you hold those cherished moments in pictures. I also desire to put you at ease during our time together, and to provide an environment of comfort. So be ready to relax and adventure. I always joke that my clients end up barefoot with messy hair and big smiles by the end of the shoot;)
